The Department of Mathematics includes the field of Mathematics and Applications, which began in 2012 with the admission of undergraduate students. Mathematics Department tries to improve the quality of education, research, technology, entrepreneurship development standards and strengthen the cooperation with scientific and cultural centers, in order to motivate and expand the learning of mathematics, especially in the south of Kerman province. Also it aims to train specialized, committed, entrepreneurial and skilled staff and research goals and activities, including the following points:

1. Improving the thinking skills and the power of problem analysis and also the students' attitudes in scientific and cultural fields.

2. Training experts in mathematics education and its applications to eliminate the shortage of specialized staffing, especially in the south of Kerman province.

3. Making students interested in mathematics and to provide solutions to prevent the decrease of students in this practical, technical, and skill field.

4. Implementation of joint activities and projects with other departments, especially education, to hold training courses, math competitions, including arith-land competitions, etc.
