The purposes of food
science and technology are to reveal the chemical, physical and microbiological
properties of foods, and to apply this knowledge to the efficient use of raw
ingredients leading to products of high quality and nutritional value. Therefore,
in order to meet these objectives the Department of Food Science and Technology
(FST) was established in 2017. Since then, it has been accepting the undergraduate
students in food science. Currently, about 90 undergraduate students are
training in this department.
