Introduction
Student Affairs for Martyrs and Veterans at Jiroft University
The Student Affairs for Martyrs and Veterans at Jiroft University was established in 2008 (1387) based on a resolution of the Iranian Parliament. Ms. Engineer Rostami Nasab and Dr. Moghbeli have had the honor of serving in this office, taking significant steps in establishing a comprehensive database of martyrs’ and veterans’ students. Regarding changes in the target group, four waves have occurred so far:

Students of the Revolution and the Iran-Iraq War, who generally entered the university at that time.

Veterans, freed prisoners of war, war-disabled individuals, and other martyrs’ families who entered the university during and after the war.

Children of martyrs.

Objectives and Mission:

Developing programs to strengthen the academic foundation of martyrs’ and veterans’ students.

Forming study groups.
-
Producing educational films.
-
Providing necessary audiovisual facilities.
-
Establishing a comprehensive database covering educational, cultural, and social status.
-
Organizing scientific, cultural, and extracurricular events.
-
Following up on welfare matters and providing required facilities for veterans.

Preparing annual performance reports and proposing budgets and activities to attract resources and financial support from relevant institutions.
Official Duties:
a) Designing programs to enhance the academic foundation of martyrs’ and veterans’ students through supplementary classes and study groups with the help of faculty and students.
b) Providing educational support services, including copying and distributing required notes, producing educational films, and supplying necessary audiovisual facilities.
c) Evaluating supplementary classes and collaborating with the Vice Chancellor for Education to monitor the academic status of martyrs’ and veterans’ students.
d) Organizing religious and recreational trips, seminars, and competitions in scientific, cultural, and artistic fields.
Unofficial Duties:

Addressing non-academic issues of martyrs’ and veterans’ students.

Participating in gatherings of directors of martyrs’ and veterans’ student affairs.

Coordinating with the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs.

Collaborating with the Vice Chancellor for Education and Student Affairs to resolve issues faced by martyrs’ and veterans’ students.

Promoting the culture of martyrdom and selfless service.
-
Enhancing the self-confidence and self-reliance of martyrs’ and veterans’ students.
-
Attending sessions of the Special Cases Commission, the Selected Committee, and the University Academic Council.
