Introduction:
The Office of Cultural and Social Affairs at the University of Jiroft is responsible for promoting Islamic values as well as strengthening cultural and social skills and beliefs among the academic community. Alongside the university’s scientific and research mission, this office plays a vital role in fostering cultural and social development, thereby contributing to the simultaneous spiritual and material progress of the academic environment.

By relying on the capacities of faculty members, staff, and especially students—who are the largest group in the university and the future builders of Islamic Iran—this office strives to create a dynamic, value-based environment in line with the ideals of the Islamic Republic.

Duties:

  • Communicating cultural and social resolutions, regulations, and bylaws issued by the University President and the Cultural and Social Council to relevant units, and supervising their proper implementation.

  • Drafting bylaws, guidelines, and agendas related to the responsibilities of the office and submitting them to the competent authorities for approval.

  • Preparing and submitting the necessary reports to the University President and the Cultural and Social Council.

  • Recommending qualified individuals for expert positions within the office.

  • Supervising subordinate units to ensure proper performance of their tasks.

  • Planning, organizing activities, and proposing the annual cultural budget in line with the university’s priorities.

  • Collaborating with other university departments to ensure proper execution of university programs.

  • Leading and supervising cultural activities for faculty members, students, and staff in accordance with relevant bylaws and in cooperation with other institutions.

  • Implementing the strategic policies of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution regarding cultural and social affairs.

  • Monitoring the cultural, educational, social, and political status of the university and conducting relevant studies in collaboration with the Research and Technology Department to support cultural policymaking.

  • Expanding cooperation with scientific, cultural, and revolutionary organizations and institutions inside and outside the university.

  • Promoting cultural, political, and ethical education by organizing training courses, seminars, and forums with the support of Islamic and revolutionary institutions.

  • Encouraging the active participation of university members in various scientific, political, and cultural fields of society.

  • Promoting a culture of dialogue, constructive criticism, and freedom of thought while enhancing interaction between academics and cultural, political, and scientific thinkers.

  • Providing content management for the Cultural and Social Council by facilitating program approval processes and following up on assigned responsibilities.

  • Communicating and implementing resolutions and regulations, and providing evaluation reports to the Cultural and Social Council.

  • Carrying out other tasks assigned by the University President.
