Using Europe Erasmus+ Program University of Jiroft sent a student to Europe

According to the public relations and international affairs office, the chancellor of University of Jiroft said: A student of University of Jiroft was sent to the University of Padova, Italy using the European Union's Erasmus+ program.

Dr. Hossein Shekofteh noted: "through current years, University of Jiroft establishes a good relationship with foreign universities, including top universities in Germany, Italy, America, India and Turkey.

 

Dr. Shekofteh added: In order to benefit from the cooperation agreements between University of Jiroft and other foreign universities as well as the European Union, a student in the field of Archaeology (Mohammad Sedigh Karimi) has been sent to the University of Padova, Italy using the Erasmus+ Program.

 

Mohammed Sedigh Karimi said: He spent courses related to “Bronze Age archaeology of central Asia, Iran and the Indus valley” by Prof. Massimo Vidale who is a faculty member at department of cultural heritage: archaeology and history of art, cinema and music, University of Padova.

 

He explained: This course included comprehensive information about Bronze Age sites in Iran (specifically about the influence of Jiroft culture on different cultures in the Bronze Age), India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan and the influence of them on each other.

 

It is worth mentioning that the Erasmus Plus Program (EuRopean Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students) is the new program combining all the EU's current schemes for education, training, youth and sport, which was started in January 2014. It provides opportunities for over 4 million participants to study, train, and gain experience abroad.
